Series 1 Coming Soon, Series 2 Later This Year!
At WWE Axxess this week in build up to Wrestlemania 35 tomorrow Mattel have revealed a slew of new figures for all their lines including their Elite line and the brand new Ultimate Edition line!
Last year they revealed Series 1 which would be Wrestlemania 34 Ronda Rousey and WCW Halloween Havoc Ultimate Warrior and Series 2 will be Wrestlemania 34 Shinsuke Nakamura and King of The Ring 94 Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart. Now Mattel has revealed packaging shots of the Series 1 figures as they’re expected to be released in May with Series 2 coming in September.
I haven’t written about these before, though I’ve known about Series 1 for sometime and I have been following their progress leading up to their release next month.
They are certainly a step-up from the Elite figures which have improved greatly in the last few series as they now include alternate heads and hands. I really like the look of the four figures but I have to admit I’m more impressed with the Ronda Rousey, Ultimate Warrior and Bret Hart as they really do stand out and the Shinsuke looks similar to the latest elite figure of Shinsuke which they’ve released recently.
I love that they all include interchangeable arms so you can have them in their entrance and ring attire. That’s a really smart move. Also, the addition of interchangeable heads is a great move as well. I guess they can’t release alternate heads and arms with all their elite figures so this new line is a great way of getting around it.
These figures will cost more than the Elite figures at the average price of $32. Once these figures are released I’ll be all over these I just hope I can find them for reasonable prices in the UK or on Smyth’s shelves.
