What Toys Should You Collect?

When you are just starting to collect toys you may be wondering what toys should you collect? You can have toys in many different forms like action figure, figurines, dolls, vehicles, and statues. Which one is best to collect?

I am not going to tell you what you should do. This is going to be a decision that you are going to have to make on your own. I will help you narrow down your choice by giving you the pros and cons of each toy type.

Action Figures

Action figures can be really easy to collect and manage. They are pretty solid toys because they were made for little kids to play hard with them. Action figures have moveable parts and can be placed in basically any position that you want them to be in. Action figures can be displayed in their boxes or out of the box on a shelf. Figurines

Figurines are statue like figures that can be made with fragile and non fragile materials. These toys and best displayed out of package. They don’t have moveable parts of any sort. I personally don’t like figurines at all.

Dolls

Dolls are models of a human being. Dolls can sometimes have brush able hair that you can style just like a humans hair. Dolls can be displayed or played with. Some examples of dolls are Barbie and My Little Pony.

Vehicles

Vehicles can make really good collectable toys buy they do take up a lot of storage space. They take up even more storage space if you are collecting them in their original boxes. Another down side to vehicle collecting is that they can become damaged easily if you are not careful. Vehicles can come in many different sizes to suit any preference.

Statues

Statues are usually made out of a fragile material and are meant to be displayed. You can not play with them at all. To me statues are boring cause all you can do is look at it and nothing more.

Making a Decision

Lots of toy lines now can have a combination of all the different types of toys. When you are trying to decide what you should collect you need to limit your focus down to a set or a series. This will help you so that you don’t go spending all of your money and not really having a specific collection. Once you collect say Marvel Legends then you could move on to something else you like.

Deciding what toys you should collect should ultimately be up to what your interests are. Toy collecting will not be satisfying if you don’t enjoy what you are collecting and spending your free time doing.

You will have to decide weather you are going to collect them in boxes or set them free to make better display. You also need to consider the care and management associated with the different toy types. Toys displayed out of boxes will need to be dusted regularly. Also, consider storage before you stat collecting. If you have limited space you are defiantly not going to want to collect vehicles.

In the end it all comes down to what you are interested in. There is no best toys to collect.
