Diamond Select Toys has announced that the Walking Dead Minimates and Universal Monsters Metaluna Mutant Are Released this Wednesday. You should be able to locate them at most of your local comic book shops.
Walking Dead Minimates – Series 1
Robert Kirkman’s Walking Dead comic books have celebrated passing its 100th issue and DST is immortalizing the book’s indelible characters with a line of minimates! The first assortment contains 2 packs that have a mix of humans and zombies.
They are packed as follows:
- Rick Grimes w/ One-Armed Zombie
- Herd Zombie 2 pack (army builder?)
- Dale w/ Female Zombie (comic shop exclusive)
- Dale in Winter Coat w/ Female Zombie (short packed)
They are each 2 inches tall and feature 14 points of articulation with a variety of interchangable parts and accessories. Check to see if your local comic book shop is going to be getting the exclusive ComicFest black and white exclusive and be on the lookout for the 2 separate Toys “R” Us 2 packs!
Universal Monsters Select: Metaluna Mutant
The Metaluna Mutant is from the 1955 film This Island Earth, stands over 7 inches tall, is fully articulated and comes with the Interocitor device from the film (exclusive to this version). Original movie fans and Mystery Science Theater 300 takedown fans will collide, because this is a must have figure for their collections. The Mutant and interocitor come in oversized collector packaging, and the interocitor is only available on the specialty market.
