The New Walking Dead Daryl Dixon Statue is Finally Almost Here

Pre-Order Your Walking Dead Daryl Dixon Statue Before It’s Too Late!

Gentle Giant, in partnership with AMC, has been hard at work, and their new regular edition Walking Dead Daryl Dixon statue is finally almost ready for release. Originally scheduled for a Q3 release last year, Gentle Giant now expects the statue to ship later this month.

This amazing statue features actor Norman Reedus’s character Daryl Dixon, surrounded by two wolves, one grey and one black. In his right hand, Daryl holds a hunting knife while his iconic crossbow that he has had since season 1 of the show is slung across his back. The character will be dressed in his iconic poncho. This anti-hero has become a fan favorite, even despite not appearing in the comic books. Reedus explained his involvement in the project by saying that both he and Daryl Dixon embody the spirit of the rebel, the survivor, the lone wolf, which is why wolves befit him the most.

The statue is 1:8 scale, making it approximately 10 inches high (~25cm), and has Daryl and the wolves standing on a huge rock. Each figure is hand-numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity, and though it has been available for pre-order for some time now, there are still statues available at a price of $239.00, on both the Gentle Giant website and on Entertainment Earth.  The statue is a necessary addition to any serious collection and a must have for any Walking Dead fans out there.

As a side note, this is not the only Walking Dead statue from Gentle Giant LTD, nor is it their only Daryl Dixon statue. Gentle Giant has been doing a great job on recreating iconic characters from the series and is bound to continue doing so, with many characters available for purchase or pre-order, including Solo Daryl, Maggie, Rick, Michonne, Glen, and even Daryl’s brother Merle, as a walker.

Bryan first discovered an appreciation for action figures at an early age, setting up elaborate GI Joe ant hill attacks, complete with firework pyrotechnics. Due to the high injury rate for the Joes, replacements were a constant necessity.
