Upcoming Batman Classic 1966 TV Prison Softball Joker 8-Inch figure is Entertainment Earth Exclusive
Entertainment Earth have another exclusive on their hands with the upcoming release of the Batman Classic 1966 TV Prison Softball Joker Mego-style 8″ Figure. From the episode “The Joker is wild!”
I must say these Mego-style figures are growing on me, well the NECA ones anyway, which I have just started collecting and are amazing. I’ve got the Jason, I am going to get Hero Ash and I’m looking to get Freddy and many more that they’ll release in the future.
If you have been collecting the Batman 1966 figures from Figures Toy Company, this figure is going got be the perfect addition to their growing collection. This figure features 15 points of articulation, an exclusive costume and accessories, and a brilliant portrait of Caesar Romero!
I can tell the differences in quality between this Mego-style figure and the NECA ones. NECA’s are more detailed, articulated and mixes comic book and realism, whilst this figure is solely cartoon like. Not to say this is a bad figure of anything.
This figure does look very good and is very well painted and sculpted has not too baggy fabric clothes. Though I feel his left hand is a bit on the small side. The facial expression is signature to the ’66 Joker and I must say I really dig it. I am not sure what accessories he’ll come with but it looks like he comes with a slightly oversized baseball mitt and ball.
The interest in Batman ’66 has made a resurgence of late with merchandise it would not of got during it’s heyday, which has bought more people and old fans to the original series. And if your a big fan of Batman ’66 this figure is simply a must have and will be available in September for $34.99 exclusively from Entertainment Earth.
