Order Your Ultimate Voltron EX Now!
A year ago, at the Toy Fair 2015, Toynami announced an all new Lion Voltron called the Voltron Ultimate EX. Although its original estimated release date was sometime during the 2015 holiday season, it was pushed into 2016 and it is now finally available for pre-order.
The Ultimate Edition Voltron’s height is a staggering 16 inches (approximately 40 cm), which is two inches shorter than was reported a year ago, and is fully transformable into five different, highly detailed lions. The left and the right hand are made out of the green and the red lion, the legs are made of the yellow and blue while the body and head are made of the black lion.
All of the lions are highly detailed and made of high-quality POM and ABS plastic. They feature numerous articulation points even when in lion form, which is awesome as all the points drastically increase posing possibilities. Some lions might sit while others stand or are set to attack, or any of a variety of scenarios collectors might imagine. When combined together, the lions create the Ultimate Voltron figure, which is highly articulate yet sturdy at the same time. This figure doesn’t seem to give the impression that it is made of numerous separate body parts and it still keeps a variety of options for posing open. The figure also includes a sword and a shield which is a great addition. The figure is painted in anime quality, making Voltron seem almost real.
The release date is scheduled for 3rd quarter of 2016 and the figure can be pre-ordered through the Big Bad Toy Store for a price of $399.99. This action figure would be a great addition for any collector, and it would be a must-have for any true Voltron fan.
