Transformers take over Funko’s Hikari Friday

It’s Friday again, so you know what that means. More Hikari Sofubi figures! This week, Funko has taken their already released Optimus Prime and Bumblebee molds, repainted them with epic paint jobs, and is now offering them again!

There are two different sets of figures, with each of the figures being sold separately. First up we have the Distressed Bumblebee and Optimus Prime Premium Hikari figures, both featuring amazing paint jobs. They are limited to just 1,000 pieces each and are currently available for pre-order here for $79.99 each.

Why is the price so high you might ask? These two figures are set to be joining the “premium” Hikari line, meaning they feature over 75 paint applications to give a really awesome appearance.

For their second set of figures they are offering a 600 piece run of 24k gold Optimus Prime and Bumblebee Hikari figures. They are both exclusive to Books-A-Million and are priced to sell at $49.99 each. It’s unclear if the figures are coated in gold, made of solid gold, or not really made of gold at all.

Each Hikari vinyl figure stands about 6-inches tall and comes with a small card to show what number in the series you got. They also come packaged in collector friendly window box packaging.
