Toy News Roundup: 'Star Wars', 'Hot Toys Rox', and Spider-Man is a Samurai

Today is Sunday and it’s time for the 113th edition of the Toy News Roundup. Here we round-up all of the most important toy news of the week from our site, and also link you to any toy news that we didn’t cover. So let’s see what the big toy news was this week, shall we?

WARPO’S CTHULHU AVAILABLE NOW, DISTRIBUTION DEAL ALSO MADE
Warpo Toys sent out a press release this week letting everyone know their 12-inch Cthulhu is now available, and they have also secured exclusive distribution though Diamond.

‘THE THING’ SIXTH SCALE FIGURES ARE COMING
Pop Culture Shock, mainly known for their high-end statues, has announced they will be making The Thing sixth scale figures. They should be coming in 2016.

THE PHANTOM MENACE
As one of the few Spooktacular announcements, Sideshow Collectibles announced a Darth Maul sixth scale figure from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

THE CAPTAIN HAS ARRIVED
Early on in the week Hot Toys previewed their Captain Phasma sixth scale figure, and then later on they fully revealed it and put it up for pre-order. This is the best Phasma in any scale we are going to get I think.

WE STILL MAKE FIGURES FROM THIS MOVIE?!?
I was really surprised to see Sideshow still making figures from The Avengers. This week they announced a really nice looking Loki Premium Format Figure.

ULTIMATE T-1000
In celebration of the Terminator 2: Judgement Day 25th anniversary, NECA is going to be making an Ultimate t-1000 figure. This figure is world’s apart from previous T-1000 releases.

HOT TOYS ROCKS… WITH AN “X”… ALLL CAPS FOR MAKING THIS AGAIN
Many people missed out on the Hot Toys War Machine Mark I, but thankfully the company announced they would be making him again with diecast material.

BIG CHAP GETS READY TO SHIP
NECA’s quarter scale Big Chap Alien is due for release soon, so the company release a new photo gallery highlighting the awesomeness of the figure.

SIDESHOW EXPANDS THEIR JUSTICE LEAGE COLLECTION
Sideshow’s DC Comics Justice League Collection is growing. This week they added a Hal Jordan Green Lantern Premium Format Figure to the lineup.

THIS BATMAN STATUE IS EPIC, BUT WAY OFF THE MARK ON PRICE
If you were a fan of the Batman Noel story with Lee Bermejo’s artwork, Prime 1 Studio has the statue for you. They’ve made a killer statue based on that look, but the problem is it’s likely way out of most collector’s price range.

THE CIRCLE IS NOW COMPLETE
Hot Toys released the final product photos of their epic Darth Vader sixth scale figure. I can’t wait for him to arrive.
