Toy News Roundup: ‘Quicksilver’, ‘Bruce Lee’, ‘Kevin Eastman’ and the Ultimate Optimus Prime

Today is Sunday and it’s time for the milestone 100th edition of the Toy News Roundup. Here we round-up all of the most important toy news of the week from our site, and also link you to any toy news that we didn’t cover. So let’s see what the big toy news was this week, shall we?

HUGE SUMMER SALE, SAVE UP TO 95%!
Entertainment Earth is having an absolutely huge Summer Clearance Sale. The sale features thousands of items, some of which are 95% off. Unlike some of their previous sales, the sale has legitimately good items. I even picked a few up for myself, because why not if they are that cheap?

SUPER ARTICULATED BRUCE LEE
This week both the Figma and S.H. Figuarts Bruce Lee figures were revealed and put up for pre-order. While the figures are both Bruce Lee, they are quite different from one another.

THE ULTIMATE OPTIMUS PRIME FIGURE
When Hot Toys announced Transformers figures that didn’t transform, it left people wondering what the final product would be like. Hot Toys released the final photos this week, highlighting what many could consider the ultimate Optimus Prime.

NEW JASON VOORHEES PREMIUM FORMAT FIGURE
Sideshow Collectibles has slowly been returning to the icons of horror movies. This week they announced the new Jason Voorhees Premium Format Figure.

FORCE FRIDAY MIDNIGHT CELEBRATION DETAILS ANNOUNCED
Toys R Us, the destination for all things Star Wars starting at midnight on September 4th, 2015, has revealed the details for the celebration. While there aren’t images of the toys we will be able to purchase, it’s worth the read if you plan on attending.

POWER-CON 2016 EXCLUSIVES AND TICKETS
Next weekend the Power-Con 2016 tickets will go on sale. This week the convention also revealed the three MOTUC exclusives that you are going to be able to purchase.

NEW RICK GRIMES “VIGILANTE” 10-INCH STATUE
McFarlane Toys has already released on version of their Rick Grimes statue and this week they announced the first variant. The “vigilante” statue features Rick covered in blood.

NEW BATMAN 66′ ACTION FIGURES
Mattel put a new wave of Batman 1966 action figures up for pre-order this week. Unlike the first single releases, these are going to come in muti-packs and the new Batman even comes with pieces from the Batcave!

HOT TOYS QUICKSILVER
Hot Toys finally announced their Quicksilver sixth scale figure from Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron this week. He doesn’t come with many accessories, but if you are going for the complete collection, you can’t skip him.

KEVIN EASTMAN TALKS ABOUT UPCOMING TMNT SIXTH SCALE FIGURES
Threezero caught up with Kevin Eastman at SDCC 2015 where they interviewed him about the exclusive designs he created for the sixth scale project.

GENTLE GIANT’S 2015 HOLIDAY FIGURE
Just in time for the upcoming holiday season, Gentle Giant has revealed that their 2015 holiday exclusive will be Salacious Crumb. Just like other years, he’s going to come with some cool holiday accessories.
