Today is Sunday and it’s time for the 96th edition of the Toy News Roundup. Here we round-up all of the most important toy news of the week from our site, and also link you to any toy news that we didn’t cover. So let’s see what the big toy news was this week, shall we?
SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON 2015 EXCLUSVES LIST
Each year Action Figure Fury puts together a list of as many SDCC exclusives that we can find. Generally once all is said and done, our list is the most compete list of exclusives you can find online, even more complete than the official Comic-Con International list! FUNKO’S GINORMOUS LIST OF EXCLUSIVES (with images)
Funko wrapped up the reveals for their 2015 Exclusives this week. Just like last year, they have more exclusives than you and I can both count on our hands and feet!
KOTOBUKIYA’S COMIC-CON EXCLUSIVES
This year for the Kotobukiya SDCC 2015 Exclusives we’ll be getting a Alfred Pennyworth ARTFX Statue, a Red She Hulk Bishoujo statue and a Deadpool Chimichanga ARTFX statue.
KIDROBOT EXCLUSIVES, AND THE FIGURE THAT SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN MADE
Kidrobot finished announcing their exclusives this week, and they also announced that they will be bringing several debut products. Among them is the figure that should have never been created – Baby Huey.
SQUARE ENIX’S MARVEL PLAY ARTS KAI LINE JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER
Square Enix only recently started making Marvel characters in their Play Arts Kai line and even though only a handful of figures have been released so far, this line is shaping up very nicely with the addition of Venom.
MORE SUPER7 EXCLUSIVES
Super7 revealed even more Comic-Con exclusives this week. Among them were several MOTU items made in formats that have never been done with the franchise.
HOT TOYS RIADEN FINALLY SEES THE LIGHT!
The Hot Toys Raiden sixth scale figure from Metal Gear Rising: Revengance has been in development for quite some time, but this week the figure finally saw the light of day. Check out the final product photo gallery here.
HAWKEYE V2
Final product photos also came for the Age of Ultron Hawkeye figure this week. If you missed the original version of him, you really aren’t going to want to miss this one!
MOTU FOR EVERYONE!
Sideshow Collectibles, among several other companies, announced this week that they are now allowed to make Masters of the Universe collectibles. Mattel finally loosened their grip on the franchise, so it’s MOTU for everyone! They must have forgotten that MOTU merch doesn’t sell.
MONDO SDCC PREVIEW
Mondo only recently started making collectibles, but they sure are making a name for themselves with the epic products they are announcing. This week they sent out a press release detailing what you can expect at their booth next week at Comic-Con. I can’t spoil the goodness that’s behind that link, but you will be ecstatic when you click it.
OLD MAN ARNIE GETS TO BE A HOT TOY ONCE AGAIN
Terminator Genisys is now in theaters. Of course, Hot Toys is making collectibles based on the movie. It’s unclear how many they are going to be doing, but their first announcement was for the T-800 Guardian sixth scale figure (aka Old Man Arnie!).
BLUEFIN ADDS MORE EXCLUSIVES
I suspected that Bluefin was already done with their exclusive revealed, but just this week they revealed even more products to be sold exclusively at SDCC next week.
RETRO TWILIGHT ZONE FIGURES COMING TO COMIC-CON
Entertainment Earth announced this week that they would be bringing a set of Twilight Zone ReAction Figures to Comic-Con as an exclusive. Only 600 were made.
TOYNAMI GETS MORE EXCLUSIVES
Toynami announced several new exclusives to be sold at SDCC 2015 next week. Fan of Godzilla, Terminator, or Robotech? Check this out.
NECA’S BATMAN RETURNS PENGUIN HAS PRODUCTION PROBLEMS
NECA let their fans know this week that they were having trouble manufacturing Penguin’s umbrella, so they had to remove it. To make up for the missing accessory, NECA added 5 additional ones.
DIAMOND SDCC BOOTH PREVIEW
Diamond Comic Distributors released a press release detailing what’s going to be on display in their booth. There are some real gems that I can’t want to see in person next week!
MCFARLANE TAKES ON GAME OF THRONES
No. Not action figures. McFarlane announced this week that they will be making Game of Thrones Construction sets, similar to what they have been doing with The Walking Dead.
FIRST BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN TOYS!
The first images of Batman vs. Superman toys were revealed this week online. Look for more toys from the upcoming movie to be for sale and on display at SDCC next week.
SO MUCH FOR MARVEL ‘BANNING’ X-MEN MERCHANDISE
We are probably never going to find out what Marvel’s master sabotage plan is for the X-Men franchise, but the good news is that the merchandise is not banned, apparently. Kobotukiya just announced an epic statue of Magneto.
FIRST HOT TOYS EXCLUSIVE
Hot Toys announced the first exclusive that they are going to be selling at various conventions around the world. Can you guess what license it’s from? Iron Man 3, of course!

THE FUTURE OF FOOTBALL
Hot Toys is currently hosting their Avengers 200% Exhibition in Tokyo, Japan. On display at the show are several artist interpretations of Iron Man. Could this be the future of Football?
