A CONVERSATION WITH A DC COLLECTIBLES SCULPTOR
Our friendly neighborhood man was lucky enough to score an interview with DC Collectibles sculptor Jonathan Matthews. Over the years, Jonathan’s sculpted over 70 pieces for DC Collectibles. Action figures to statues, and every character from Batman to the Watchman, Jonathan’s influence has probably been felt in your collection.
PRIME 1 STUDIO REVEALS LEONARD STATUE FROM TMNT 2014 MOVIE
Prime 1 Studio recently announced that they had secured the TMNT 2014 license, which allows them to make a quarter scale line of statues based on their appearances in the most recent movie. Leonardo is up next and if you have a spare $700 lying around, this statue just might be for you.
ANT-MAN ACTION FIGURES!
Marvel’s Ant-Man is scheduled to hit theaters this summer, so of course we are going to be getting some new action figures. Diamond Select Toys has announced some of the first. Check them out here.
DC COLLECTIBLES DOMINATIES TOP TOYS OF 2014 LIST
Diamond Comic Distributors released the list of their top-selling toys of 2014. It may be of surprise to you, but DC Collectibles totally dominated the toy market in comic shops this year. Check out what other companies made the list here.
TAMASHII NATIONS ANNOUNCES 3RD STAR WARS S.H. FIGUARTS FIGURE
When Darth Vader and the Stormtrooper S.H. Figuarts figures were announced, Tamashii Nations said that Luke Skywalker would be coming very soon. His announcement was made this week, along with a very cool extra accessory that will ship with all first edition Darth Vader figures.
SIDESHOW’S SUPERMAN 12-INCH FIGURE GETS SOME NEW PHOTOS
Sideshow really wants you to buy their Superman 12-inch figure that should start shipping very soon. In an attempt to convince you and put you over the edge, Sideshow has released a new photo gallery showing off the Superman final product.

NECA’s retro line has grown once again. This week the toy company announced the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Retro Dinner Attire Leatherface figure. He’s just so dang cute!
HASBRO IS CALLING ALL TRANSFORMERS FANS
Hasbro released a press release this week, which was calling all Transformers fans to help create a new character in the “Fan Built Combiner Poll”. It’s basically a fan vote that will decide what team of robots will combine into a giant character in the Generations line. Learn more here.
HASBRO REVEALS FIRST SLEW OF AVENGERS 2 TOYS
Age of Ultron is coming and it’s coming fast. Hasbro has announced the first of their Avengers 2 toys, but sadly this announcement features just about nothing that’s oriented toward the collector.
SIDESHOW COLLECTIBLES TIE FIGHTER PILOT SIXTH SCALE FIGURE
Sideshow’s latest Star Wars sixth scale figure to be put up for pre-order is the Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot sixth scale figure. Just like for other figures, this figure has an exclusive version with a very special accessory!
