DC COLLECTIBLES REVEALS NEXT WAVE OF BATMAN ANIMATED SERIES FIGURES
MTV broke news early in the week that DC Collectibles has a 2nd series of Batman Animated Series figures in the works. The new wave isn’t expected to arrive until July 2015, but it’s going to be including Batman, Penguin, the Riddler, and Batgirl. Check them all out here.
NECA’S COLOR 1989 BATMAN IN ALL HIS GLORY
NECA’s full color 1989 Batman figure is starting to make his way into your local Toys “R” Us and NECA celebrated by releasing a gallery of the figure in all his glory. If you are a Batman fan, this figure is clearly a must have. If you still haven’t been able to find the figure word on the street is that it’s also going to be making its way into Hastings stores soon.
HOT TOYS UNVEILS FIRST AGE OF ULTRON COLLECTIBLE
Early on in the week, Hot Toys revealed their first Avengers: Age of Ultron sixth scale figure – Iron Man. The figure is essentially a repaint of the mark 43, but is still going to be extremely popular among fans. Hot Toys is also going to be doing a quarter scale version of the figure, but the official solicitation hasn’t been announced yet.
BARNS AND NOBLE TO GET NEW STAR WARS EXCLUSIVE FROM KOTOBUKIYA
Kotobukiya announced this week that Barns and Noble stores are going to be getting an exclusive Star Wars R2-C4 ARTFX Statue. It’s very similar to their last exclusive droid, so you might be able to skip this release if you aren’t a completest.
QUARTER SCALE BOBA FETT!
Quarter scale isn’t quite my thing, but when Hot Toys announced a quarter scale Boba Fett that was under $500, I was all over it. There is an exclusive and nonexclusive version available, both of which look outstanding. I opted for the exclusive. =)
DC COLLECTIBLES JULY 2015 SOLICITS
DCC announced their newest product solicitations this week, though they aren’t actually expected to his stores until July 2015. There isn’t much to check out here besides the Batman Animated Series figures and a couple of statues.
IKON COLLECTIBLES TAKES ON TMNT STATUES… THE CLASSIC WAY
A new pre-order popped up this week for Ikon Collectibles’ new Leonardo statue. Done in the classic style from the ’80’s, this is one of the highest quality TMNT statues you can buy. Sadly the price isn’t as nice as the statue…
HOT TOYS TAKES OVER SIDESHOW DISTRIBUTION OF STAR WARS PRODUCTS
Hot Toys announced this week that they would be the new sole distributor for Sideshow Collectibles’ products in Asia. With the new movie coming out next year, this can only mean good things for both companies.
YOU HAD TO OF KNOWN THIS WOULD HAPPEN….
After Guardians of the Galaxy hit theaters, people were going absolutely crazy for the insanely cute baby Groot that was featured toward the end of the film. Hot Toys has already given fans that ordered Groot a very small baby Groot, but this week they announced that they would be doing it right with a quarter scale baby Groot in his pot.
FIRST LOOK AT LEGO’S AGE OF ULTRON SETS
The first couple of Lego Avengers: Age of Ultron sets popped up online in some German magazine scans. The six new sets are set for release in Spring 2015.
HOT TOYS REVEALS AN EPIC TONY STARK FROM IRON MAN 2
If you though some of the more recent Hot Toys Tony Stark sculpts weren’t quite up to par, then you might be in luck because Hot Toys announced an epic Tony Stark figure from Iron Man 2 this week. The figure features some cool accessories and a spot on head sculpt.
MARVEL SELECT AGE OF ULTRON THOR
Diamond Select Toys announced their Age of Ultron Thor Marvel Select figure. The figure looks very similar to the Thor: The Dark World version, so you should be able to skip this version.
MORE HOT TOYS AGE OF ULTRON AND STAR WARS FIGURES REVEALED AT TOY SOUL
The first annual Toy Soul convention was going on this weekend and Hot Toys was there to reveal a bunch of new Avengers 2 and Star Wars products. I don’t want to spoil it for you, but let’s just say Darth Vader, Thanos, and Hulkbuster. Yes, you can click this link now. =)
DIAMOND SELECT’S NEXT RETRO FIGURE IS UP FOR PRE-ORDER
Following the release of their Captain America and Spider-Man retro figures, Diamond Select Toys has announced that their next figure will be Wolverine. He comes with 3 different outfits and even more goodies that you can read about here.
