Possibly one of the greatest action figure accessories of the year has been revealed this past weekend at the New York International Toy Fair. NECA shared the first ever images of the upcoming Caterpillar P-5000 Powered Work Loader accessory, based on the design in James Cameron’s 1986 Aliens.
The Aliens Power Loader is part of the movie’s finale in which Ellen Ripley uses to fight against the Alien Queen.
The Alien Queen has already been made available in action figure form, which if you are lucky you should still be able to find the figure available online. Though, if you plan on getting the Power Loader then you probably want a Ellen Ripley figure to go inside.
NECA has already announced several versions of Ellen Ripley, but they are also making a new 1986 version that will be part of Aliens Series 5. NECA plans to release this new version of Ripley and the Power Loader around the same time – Summer 2015. If you are feeling adventurous, the Power Loader is also said to fit most 6.5-7-inch figures.
NECA’s Power Loader P-5000 Deluxe Vehicle stands over 11” tall and features more than 30 points of articulation (including fully articulated arms and legs), 20 wires and hoses, working pistons and exceptional detail. Figures sold separately.
The greatest action figure accessory of the year isn’t going to come cheap though, as it carries an SRP of $125.99. If you are lucky, you should be able to score a pre-order for around $100 though.
