“We’re done when I say we’re done.”
Breaking Bad may have ended more than a year ago, but the action figures aren’t done until Walter White says they are. Threezero have just announced something that many 12-inch action figure collectors thought would never see released from a reputable manufacturer – a Heisenberg sixth scale figure.
Heisenberg is a 12” (30.5cm) tall articulated figure featuring tailored clothing, various accessories, and a realistic likeness to the character portrayed on-screen. While he doesn’t come with a bag of blue meth, he does come with interchangeable hands, glasses, sunglasses, a pork-pie hat, a black windbreaker, a pistol, and five stacks of blood money.
I just recently picked up the Wolf King Chemical Poisoning Teacher, which is supposed to be a artist’s representation of Walter White in his chemical suit. I was happy with the figure considering the low price, heck, it even brought tears to my eyes when it was announced. Though, I have always wanted an “official” Breaking Bad figure in my collection, even if it’s just Heisenberg.
The figure looks absolutely stunning, perhaps even as good as these $2,000 customs, which before now were the most accurate Breaking Bad collectible figures that money could buy. Ever since I first saw Breaking Bad, I was wondering who would be the one who knocks and picks up the license.
The best part about this announcement is that you aren’t going to have to wait long to purchase it. You can buy him next week (February 24th at 09:00AM Hong Kong Time) at Threezero’s official store. He’s priced to sell at $150, which includes free international shipping. Though with that being said, it’s still unclear when the figure is actually going to start shipping.
What’s also unclear is if Threezero is going to make any of the other characters from the show. I could definitely use a Jessie Pinkman, Hank Schrader, Saul Goodman, and Gustavo Fring figure in my collection. Some people on Facebook have asked Threezero about more figures, but they all seem to be getting the standard response along the lines of “please follow our updates for more news!”
Threezero usually has exclusive accessories with the figures that they sell in their online store, but Heisenberg isn’t going to be coming with anything extra this time around. So if you don’t want to purchase directly from Threezero, you can always wait until your favorite online toy store, like Big Bad Toy Store or Entertainment Earth, lists the figure for pre-order.
I can’t wait to see what Threezero has planned in the future because we all know “Sitting around, smoking marijuana, eating Cheetos and masturbating do not constitute ‘plans.’” Their low price points for licensed figures, like Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, and Game of Thrones put them on track to compete with Hot Toys’ insanely high prices.
