ThreeA’s World’s Best Robots look to live up to the name

Ashley Wood and his boutique toy company, 3A, have made some amazing strides over the past few years, quickly making a name for themselves in the toy collecting lexicon.  Today over on World of 3A, we get a great first look at the World’s Best Robots, which stand at an impressive 25″ tall and feature a fantastic vintage aesthetic.  There’s some serious Shogun Warriors influence going on here!

First there’s MARS, a striking red based robot with white trim.

Along with MARS we have a black and red deco ROMULUS.

And lastly, a white base robot called REMUS.

All three robots have what looks to be fantastic articulation and the nearly flawless weathering and paint applications as the majority of 3A’s product do.  Also, according to a Q & A session with Ashley Wood on WO3A.com, each robot will include a 1/12 scale pilot action figure:

Q: You mentioned in one of previous sessions that Word Best Robots could come with each 1/12 pilot to feel the sense on there actual size. Will we get some comics to bring us more info on this world too?
A: Yes. you will, the world they are in is as important as the toys, they need each other, I think for everything I do that is the case!

I find it fascinating to see 3A balance stuff like mainstream licenses with Marvel Comics while also branching out into their own impressive offerings like these.  Check out the full details, including more images on WO3A.com.

Bryan first discovered an appreciation for action figures at an early age, setting up elaborate GI Joe ant hill attacks, complete with firework pyrotechnics. Due to the high injury rate for the Joes, replacements were a constant necessity.
