The Bridge Direct SDCC 2013 Hobbit Exclusive Azog Figure

All through the last week The Bridge Direct gave it’s fans a chance to win the SDCC 2013 Hobbit Exclusive Azog Figure, that is, if you could guess that Azog was going to be the exclusive. They gave out 3 different clues through the week, but now they have sent out the details for this figure. Check them out here:

San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Exclusive Hobbit Collector Figure Azog

Our 7″ tall Orc Commander Azog comes in a numbered, limited edition of 2,600 pieces. Azog is depicted as he appears in the prologue scene from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. In the battle between the dwarves and an army of orcs to reclaim Moria, Azog holds the severed head of the dwarf King Thror up in victory. The figure comes with interchangeable hands – the right hand that holds Thror’s head can be replaced with a hand capable of holding either his dagger or mace, and the left hand can be switched with the prosthetic spikes that replaced the hand he lost to Thorin’s sword.

Now I must say that before The Bridge Direct gave out any clues for the figure, I was hoping that the exclusive was going to be Smaug himself. I mean the next movie coming up is going to be The Desolation of Smaug, so why can’t we have figure of him?

I suppose that another Azog will have to do though. Look for it in The Bridge Direct / Weta Booth #3513B at San Diego Comic-Con for a price of $39.99.

    1. When the image of the figure was released I asked TBD how much the figure would cost, along with a bunch of other questions. They have yet to respond to me. This was weeks ago.

      I would estimate the figure to cost around $30, but that is just a guess.

        1. If you have a source to that I would really love to read it. That seems really insane for a 6″ SDCC Exclusive figure. The Black Series Boba Fett and Han Solo in Carbonite is $50, and it has “Star Wars” attached to it. It also has 2 “figures” if you want to call them that.

            I wish I could get rid of my mattycollector subscriber figures too but everyone wants things cheap. Mine are 3 and 4.00 under costs as it is…

  21. When I was at SDCC last year, Hasbro had a limit on Jem was 2 for the Entire show. What is their limits on Jem this year? Or known limits on other Hasbro items?

    1. I haven’t heard any solid numbers, but a couple rumors I have heard on podcasts said most Hasbro exclusives will be limited to 2 or 3 per person.

    1. Oh, Nice find! That price is almost as steep as the Black Series Boba Fett, and it doesn’t even have “Star Wars” anywhere on the box!
