Storm Collectibles to Take On 6-inch Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Bruce Lee
Storm Collectibles is a rather new Hong Kong based company that has been chugging along nicely with their sixth scale figures, however, they aren’t just going to be making 12-inch figures anymore because they just announced 6-inch Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Bruce Lee figures over the weekend at New York Comic-Con 2015.
I was hoping that Storm Collectibles would stay exclusively with 1/6th scale figures, as what they have done on Dennis Rodman, Rigor Mortis, Hulk Hogan, Mike Tyson, and others has been fantastic. Interestingly enough, they have picked several popular licenses that have been done many times over in this scale for their foray into the 6-inch action figure market.
They haven’t revealed any of their Street Fighter figures yet, but they have revealed Goro, Sub-Zero, and Scorpion from Mortal Kombat. I would imagine that the Street Fighter figures are done in a similar style.
It’s unclear to me what they are doing with Bruce Lee. The figure that was on display at NYCC doesn’t have any articulation cut in, so this could be a 1-piece statue or I suppose even an action figure. You can read more about Storm Collectibles taking on Bruce Lee with Arnie Kim here.
