OK. I’m going to make a confession here. Until today, I didn’t know what the “M” stood for in M. Bison. I always assumed it was something awesome, like Matriculating, or Magnificent, or maybe even Malcolm. Turns out, Capcom doesn’t know either. Or, at least, they aren’t saying. In Street Fighter Alpha 3, Bison is referred to as “Master Bison” multiple times, leading many to believe “M” is “Master,” but apparently, there’s no official word on the matter. Which, in a way, I’m fine with, because Mystery M is better than learning his name is Mitch Bison. So, what does this have to do with anything? Not much, beyond the question popping into my head as I was looking at the pictures for the awesome new Storm Collectibles M. Bison action figure.
Details on Storm Collectibles M. Bison Action Figure
M. Bison made his first appearance early in the storied series, as the final boss in Street Fighter II. However, for this figure, his appearance will resemble the character as seen in Street Fighter V. The figure will be 1/12 scale, standing approximately 7.24 inches (18.4 cm) tall. Which would make M. Bison roughly 7 feet 3 inches tall. (If he ever gets tired of fighting and being a dictator, I can see a second career as a center in the NBA.) Anyway, the figure has over 30 points of articulation, allowing M. Bison to recreate his iconic moves from the game.
Speaking of, the figure comes with 2 different “Psycho Power” effects, a “Psycho Axe” effect, an additional cape that recreates the flying motion, 4 pairs of interchangeable hands, three interchangeable portraits, and a display stand featuring the Street Fighter V logo.
Pre-Ordering the Storm Collectibles M. Bison Action Figure
We haven’t seen any pre-orders for the Storm Collectibles M. Bison action figure yet, but Storm Collectibles is saying the figure will be available in Q1 of 2017. Also, according to one source, the figure will be priced at around 9900 yen (roughly $97). That would be a little steep, especially for a 7-inch figure. However, we’d be surprised if that were the case, as Storm Collectibles 1/12 scale Ryu action figure from the same line is being offered at $54.99. Keep checking back, as we’ll release more details for pre-ordering as the figure becomes available.
