Star Wars Rebels Chopper Action Figure Revealed – Meet the New Lazy, Cranky Astromech Droid

If you are a Star Wars fan chances are that you know everything there is to know about Star Wars Rebels. If you don’t know what it is, Star Wars Rebels is an animated TV show that is going to premiere in fall 2014 as a one-hour special telecast on Disney Channel and will be followed by a series on Disney XD channels around the world. has just revealed the very first droid to join the new universe, Chopper. At the same time as the new character unveiling Hasbro has announced their second 3.75″ figure, the Star Wars Rebels Chopper action figure.

The design of Chopper, a.k.a. C1-10P, takes inspiration from early Ralph McQuarrie concept art for R2-D2, especially the expressive arms that fold out of his head. While Star Wars Rebels takes place four years prior to the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, Chopper still has a retro look that creates an aesthetic continuity with the droids of the original trilogy.

Look for Hasbro‘s full line of 3.75 inch Star Wars Rebels Saga Legends figures to hit stores in Fall of 2014 to coincide with the premiere of the show.
