Hasbro revealed a few Star Wars goodies last night!
Earlier this week it was announced that Hasbro will be revealing some new Star Wars products for their Black Series and Vintage Collection line on Tuesday afternoon to celebrate Star Wars Fan Appreciation Day.
I should mention that not all these figures have been put up for pre-order just yet but I expect them to be in a couple of months down the line.
The figures that they have revealed are:
Star Wars: The Black Series Carbonized Figures
- Stormtrooper (Metallic)
- Boba Fett (Metallic)
Star Wars: The Vintage Collection
- Clone Commander Wolffe
- Power Droid
- Secret Figure
Black Series figures not up for pre-order:
- The Mandalorian in Beskar Armor
- Empire Strikes Back – Darth Vader
- Return of the Jedi – Teebo
- Admiral Ackbar
I have to say I am very impressed and pleased with the reveals. I know that some of the figures were rumored for some time like the Vintage Collection KS20. It’s nice to see Wolffe get an upgrade with the face printing tech which I think all Vintage Collection figures are utilizing now.
Before I talk about the Black Series figure reveals I’ll talk about the Carbonized Black Series figures. I have to say I really like the look of these but they are incredibly difficult to get hold of. Though I really love the look of the carbonized Boba Fett.
What I’m really impressed with though is the Black Series though as that’s my bread and butter. As you know Disney+ has just launched in Europe and other parts of the world now so the reveal of the Mandalorian in Beskar Armor is very fitting and he looks fantastic and I’ll definitely be adding him to my collection.
The Admiral Ackbar is a great reveal and it’s great to see some high ranking rebels get some love in the Black Series as we already have a number of high ranking Imperial Officers. The sculpt looks absolutely fantastic and he’s a must-have for the collection.
It was no surprise that we’ll be getting an Empire Strikes Back Darth Vader figure, though at this time it’s not entirely clear how he’ll be released as he’s not been announced for the 40th Anniversary line just yet, though I can see that happening. I really like the sculpt even though it’s quite similar to his New Hope costume. Besides I already have the New Hope and Return of the Jedi Darth Vader’s already so I really need to get the Empire one to complete the set.
The best reveal for me has to be Teebo, I absolutely adore this figure. The sculpt and paint look incredible and I can see that he has plenty of articulation. I can see why they haven’t announced or revealed Wicket as he’s the most iconic of the Ewoks and if they released him first not many people would pick up the other Ewoks. I would certainly pick up all the Ewoks if they look as good as Teebo here!
The Black Series figures release in June, while the Vintage Collection figures are set for an August release. See the pictures down below.
