Star Wars Black Series Holocomm Collection.
Just last week, Hasbro showed off their new Black Series subline which is the Holocomm Collection, which are Black Series figures cast in translucent blue plastic, which come with all their accessories as well as a bounty chip with Aurebesh inscription and a holopuck.
These figures are designed to recreate the look of the hologram bounties that we have seen in The Mandalorian series. I think this is a great gimmick and does work very well. You could even use them in a diorama when characters talk to another character through a hologram! You could get a lot of use out of these and they are far better than the Credit Collection in my opinion. Also, all of these sculpts look great in translucent blue plastic.
I should note that the Holocomm bases have a light-up feature and a function that lights for 30 minutes. The character selection is pretty good with Ahsoka Tano, The Mandalorian, Axe Woves, Bo-Katan Kryze, & Han Solo. What I do find strange is that the figures are available at different retailers. Here’s a breakdown of them:
- The Mandalorian – Hasbro Pulse & Shop Disney Exclusive
- Han Solo – Fan Channel Exclusive
- Axe Woves – Amazon Exclusive
- Ahsoka Tano – Walmart Exclusive
- Bo-Katan Kryze – Target Exclusive
For some of these, I don’t know how they’ll make them available to fans outside of the US & Canada, though I can guess they’ll be available on the fan channel sites when they go up for pre-order next week.
