Star Trek seems to be on everyone’s mind these days… maybe it’s because there is a blockbuster movie out? Or maybe it’s even because Diamond Select has been bringing back Star Trek Toys in a big way to comic shops, specialty stores, and even Toys “R” Us! DST has already annouced the TRU exclusive Star Trek Legacy Minimates, but they also have a couple TRU exclusive Star Trek Select Action Figures, Kirk and Spock!
They look exactly like they appeared on the original television series, featuring ball-jointed necks and shoulders; pivots at mid-bicep, wrist, waist and mid-calf pivots; and hinged elbows. Like with the upcoming Star Trek Select Action Figures, you will be able to interchange the hands, legs, and heads between the figures, allowing for greater possibility and play. They each stand about 7 inches tall and also come with a terrain base which can be connected together to form a continuous display.
Look for the figures to start showing up in Toys “R” Us now, and toysrus.com soon! Also, there are going to be accessory-packed Select versions coming soon to comic shops and specialty stores later.
