Square Enix have just recently started producing figures from the Marvel Universe and revealed Spiderman. Now they have released one of his most iconic villains – Venom.
I have to say this the Variant Play Arts Kai Venom looks absolutely fantastic. Square Enix’s spin on Marvel characters are better than the DC ones, in my personal opinion. He has purple markings all over his body and the symbol on his chest is a shiny purple rather than white. The purple markings reminds me of how Venom looked purple in certain lighting from the comics. They have captured his physique perfectly and the proportions are perfect. The detailing is fantastic throughout as well. I am really impressed with this. I’m not sure exactly how well articulated he will be, though he looks fully articulated like other Play Arts Kai figures that have been released in the past.
Accessory wise he comes with a pair of open hands, a pair of fists, symbiote hands, an interchangeable head with a rotating tongue, which is a brilliant touch. He’ll also comes with a stand.
He’ll be released in November of this year, will cost around $130.00 and is available to pre-order now. If you’re a fan of Venom Square Enix’s Marvel offerings, I would highly recommend this figure.
