If you had already planned on getting Sideshow Collectibles’ recently announced Amazing Spider-Man Premium Format Figure, then you have probably noticed that this is pretty close to a repaint. You may be able to do with just one or the other, but if you plan on displaying Spider-Man in both his classic look and Symbiote look, you are going to need this new variant as well.
The Symbiote costume gives Spider-Man a rather unique look, a look that developed when his standard costume became damaged and he unknowingly used a Symbiote creature to reconstruct it, causing the alien form to morph with his body. It’s not all darkness for Spider-Man though, as the Symbiote bonds with him, increasing his powers to create the high-flying, butt-kicking superhero seen in this fantastic gravity-defying sculpted figure.
