Sideshow Collectibles’ Gray Hulk Premium Format Figure Completes Hulk Trio

Making the perfect companion piece to the already announced Incredible Hulk and Red Hulk Premium Format Figures, Sideshow Collectibles has announced their final piece to complete the Hulk trio, the Gray Hulk Premium Format Figure.

The artists at Sideshow Collectibles were able to capture the menace of Hulk’s gamma-fueled fury just as he was depicted on the cover of Incredible Hulk #1. Inspired by classic monsters like Frankenstein and Jekyll and Hyde, Stan Lee didn’t originally plan for the Hulk to be green, but gray instead. He thought a melodramatic, somber color would be perfect for the mood he wanted to establish.

However, when copies of the first comic came off the printer, they were unable to maintain the consistent shade of gray that Stan Lee intended. This led him to change the Hulk’s coloring to the more familiar green that most fans are used to.

Crafted in the quarter scale, Sideshow’s Grey Hulk PFF features Bruce Banner’s alter ego all juiced up in a taunt-like pose. He comes wearing shredded denim shorts and if you have your eyes set on the Sideshow exclusive version, you can also look forward to an added accessory – his fluorescent orange shirt.

He is expected to ship in January 2015 for $550. If interested, you can currently pre-order your statue here.
