SDCC 2014: NECA Reveals Super Freddy as their First Exclusive

NECA has announced that their very first SDCC 2014 exclusive is going to be Super Freddy from A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 5: The Dream Child. This is the very first time that Super Freddy has been made by anyone into an action figure.

The figure itself stands about 8.5″ tall and is dressed in tailored fabric clothing similar to the retro toy lines that helped define the licensed action figure market in the 1970s. For accessories he includes his trademark glove and removable hat. All of this is going to be packed in a removable protective clamshell with custom illustrated artwork by Christopher Ott and Geoffrey Trapp.

The figure is going to cost you $40 and is limited to 5,000 pieces worldwide. If you are attending the show you can purchase it in the NECA booth, but if you aren’t, NECA is going to make the figure available in limited quantities to non-attendees (similar to last year).
