It has already been a couple of months since Tamashii Nations announced their first Star Wars 6-inch figures – Darth Vader and the Stormtrooper. At that time Tamashii was hinting that there would be a S.H. Figuarts Luke Skywalker based on his appearance in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, but its announcement date was a secret, until now.
Luke Skywalker is going to be Tamashii Nations 3 rd 6-inch Star Wars figure and just like their previous announcements, the details are slim. Though, looking at the images provided, it looks like Luke Skywalker is going to be pretty loaded with accessories.
I can spot multiple head sculpts, lit and unlit lightsabers, and possibly interchangeable hands, but we will have to wait for more information to confirm. Apart from his abundance of accessories, the S.H. Figuarts Luke is going to be loaded with articulation, allowing you to achieve virtually any pose you can dream up.
Tamashii Nations has also announced that the first production run of the S.H. Figuarts Darth Vader is going to come with a Death Star window diorama. This is very cool, particularly if you plan on getting both Luke and Darth Vader.
Luke Skywalker is said to be “slated for 2015” and he has a price of “TBA”. Both Darth Vader and the Stormtrooper are slated for April, so it’s probably safe to assume he will come after that.
