Revoltech’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Emerge from the 2014 Tokyo Toy Show Sewers
The 2014 Tokyo Toy Show is currently underway and Revoltech’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures have emerged from the sewers once again. They first showed off these figures in March of this year with a release date set for this fall.
I’ve never really been a big fan of the Teenage Mutant Turtles, though I know of their popularity. They have just recently became extremely popular again in the last two years with the Playmates line of the original figures and the newer ones based on the recent Nickelodeon television series.
These figures are in the 6″ scale and are in the style of the latest cartoon series. They come packed with articulation and a wide range of character accessories.
Personally I find them too cartoony looking for my taste, even though they are based off of the latest cartoon. Though, they are packed with great detail throughout, especially in their heads and kneepads, which fans of the show will adore. I also really like the muscle detail, as it shows a lot of definition and hides the articulation very well. One complaint I have is that I think from the knee down their legs look too big.
All the Ninja Turtles come with their specific weapons, accessories (one of them has pizza) and exaggerated facial expression heads, which look very cartoony indeed. You can tell Revlotech put a lot of time and detail into them. If you love the turtles and the current Nickelodeon Series you are going to love these new TMNT action figures!
