After making a debut at SDCC 2016, Comicave Studios’ massive 1 ton Captain America 75th Anniversary tribute statue has returned to Prospect park in Brooklyn. However, it will only be there until August 23rd, before it goes on tour (so to speak). It will head to the Barclays Center first, where it will stay until the end of September. After that, it heads to the Sunset Park Bed Bath and Beyond, where it will be on display from October until the end of the years. (I guess even the Cap needs a swank looking bathroom.) In celebration of the 75th anniversary, Comicave is also releasing two very limited edition statues. If you are a diehard fan of the Cap or know someone who is, the Comicave Studios Captain America Statues are pretty much the ultimate centerpiece for a collection.
Details on the 1/12 Scale Bronze Comicave Studios Captain America Statue
We’ll start off a little bit smaller. This 1/12 scale replica will stand roughly 13.4 inches (34 cm) tall and weight about 6 pounds (2.7 kg). Each of the bronze statues is individually handcrafted. Which according to Comicave means they will have “subtle imperfections and variations” that will make each piece unique. Each bronze Cap statue will also come with a metal plate with an engraved serial number, and well as an “authenticity card.” For packaging, each statue will come in a premium pine wood box with a sliding cover.

If that’s not enough Cap for you, Comicave is also making a 1/4 scale pewter replica of the statue. This version of the cap will stand roughly 36.5 inches (93 cm) tall, and weigh an estimated 33 pounds (15 kg). The statue is being made from high-quality pewter by renowned pewter collectible make Royal Selangor from Malaysia. Each pewter statue will feature the Cap in all pewter, on a wood base with pewter detailing. Each statue will have a metal plate engraved with the serial number, and come with an “authenticity card.” For packaging, the Pewter Cap will com in a premium wooden box with a mahogany finish.

OK, so if you’re interested, you can pre-order the Bronze Cap on Comicave’s website for $450. The statue is being limited to 750 pieces worldwide and is expected to ship in September 2016.
For the larger, Pewter Cap, you’re going to have to dig a little deeper into your pocketbooks. He’s also up for order on Comicave’s site, and will set you back a cool $4,000. Only 100 of these statues will be made worldwide. In addition, the first 20 pieces are expected to ship by November 2016.
