Quarter Scale Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Caesar Statue Revealed by Pop Culture Shock

Pop Culture Shock has recently released images of their absolutely stunning Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Caesar statue.

This statue is in the quarter scale and depicts Caesar from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes from one of the most iconic shots from the trailer where the protagonist Caesar is leading his fellow apes in the trees. And I have to say this looks absolutely phenomenal.

This is the most realistic statue that I have ever seen. The sculpt and paint look tremendous and the amount of detail within the statue is immense. You can even see single strands of hair with dirt patches on it. You can see his scar clearly on his chest along with the white and red paint on his chest.

The flesh tones looks brilliant and realistic too especially his hands and head. Now on to the head sculpt, which is the most outstanding thing about the statue. I love how it’s painted especially those eyes. You can tell he is somewhat older in this film, as his skin is wrinkled. Though, one thing hasn’t changed – the intensity of the eyes expressing every shred of his haunted and tortured soul. It’s incredible and very nuanced and executed to perfection by Pop Culture Shock.

He’s sculpted perched and crouched atop a part of tree. It’s painted very well and looks aged with the green moss like patches and vines growing around it.

This statue (well the Pop Culture Shock Exclusive Edition) comes with two interchangeable spears, which look absolutely fantastic. It looks like real wood as it’s been honed at the tip. There’s also a wrap around the middle so he can hold it. The interchangeable spear looks much rougher and dirtier and has a much sharper tip and looks equally brilliant. It should be noted that the Pop Culture Shock Exclusive Edition will be limited to 150 pieces.

The only thing that hurts the statue in my opinion is that the fact that it won’t be released until next summer which is quite a while after the film’s release (July 11th). You’ll be able to pre-order from the Pop Culture Shock site on the 9th of July. Finally the Regular Edition will cost $340 and the Exclusive Edition will cost $345.
