Quarter and Sixth Scale Avengers: Age of Ultron Busts Incoming from Hot Toys

As we continue to get closer to the next chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we are going to start seeing a lot more Avengers: Age of Ultron product announced. Hot Toys, an action figure manufacturer that is probably best known for the sixth scale action figures, has announced that they will be doing quarter and sixth scale Avengers: Age of Ultron Busts.

The collectible company has done sixth scale busts in the past, but this is going to be the first time that they have taken on busts in the quarter scale. Jokes! Though no matter what scale wets your appetite, you are going to be able to get you hands on busts of Iron Man XLIII or the War Machine Mark II.

Each bust is crafted in fine detailed sculpture featuring metallic coloring on armor with weathering effect, and LED light-up functions!

I try not to watch to many of the previews before the movie is actually released so that nothing gets spoiled, but I couldn’t help but wonder if War Machine Mark II is actually going to make an appearance in this film. I know he was originally planned to be in a scene in Iron Man 3, but he ended up getting cut in the end; That’s why we have this figure though.

I don’t have any busts of my own, but I find it very interesting that the sixth scale bust is much less of the upper torso than the quarter scale busts. The 1/4 scale bust has the upper half of the arms and the 1/6th scale bust is basically just center mast of the chest.

They are scheduled for released in Q2 – Q3 of 2015, which isn’t too far away if you consider the wait time for some of Hot Toys’ other products. Pre-orders aren’t quite available yet, but if you keep an eye on this page you should land a pre-order with ease.

Bryan first discovered an appreciation for action figures at an early age, setting up elaborate GI Joe ant hill attacks, complete with firework pyrotechnics. Due to the high injury rate for the Joes, replacements were a constant necessity.
