Pop Culture Shock Bronze Age Batman Wall Mounted Statue up for Pre-Order Soon
Pop Culture Shock has recently put up their Bronze Age Batman Wall Mounted Statue up for pre-order. The Bronze Age refers to the 1970’s mid 80’s Batman comics and since it’s still Batman’s 75th Anniversary this is just going to be one of many Batman products that you need to buy this year.
This is also the first wall statue that Pop Culture Shock has produced and I admit, it’s very impressive looking. The Dark Knight is in his Bronze age outfit standing atop the Bat Signal holding his cape like he’s about to glide down to the streets of Gotham below. The detailing is fantastic in Batman and the wall base. It looks like it’s just been ripped out of the comic book pages.
Batman is wearing a blue cape, cowl, gloves, pants and boots with the gray body suit beneath with the bat symbol sculpted on to its chest and the wide yellow belt round his waist. You can really see his muscle definition, which is absolutely fantastic. The flesh tone looks almost real. I love the stoic look on his face, like he should have, and with those white eyes glowing. The cape sculpt is my favorite since it’s so large it really looks like it’s blowing in the wind. I really love the Bat wings shape to it too and the paint job throughout is perfect.
The wall base consists of a brick wall; a ledge and a lion bust adorning each side. It does look very authentic with the brown stonework given a light brown wash. The Bat Signal is the most important element and it does look brilliant with the traditional bat logo in front of the searchlight. It’s unclear how it’ll attach to the wall.
Of course it will also have an LED feature allowing it to light up. I have to say it’ll look fantastic adorning a wall with the room light off and the LED on.
Like all Pop Culture Shock collectible statues, he’s made of polystone. He’ll be up for pre-order on December 1st exclusively on the Pop Culture Shock website and will be released next November. There’ll be 750 available and will cost $249.99, but if you pre-order it early enough you get 15% off and it’ll only cost $212.49.
