Star Trek One:12 Captain Kirk Added to the Lineup
Mezco Toyz Releases Star Trek One:12 Captain Kirk!
The Star Trek One:12 Collective Figure collection is adding another member to its ranks. This time, it’s Captain James Tiberius Kirk, Commander of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701. The statue is made to resemble the iconic original series portrayal of William Shatner, not the re-booted Chris Pine version.
The statue was sculpted in incredible detail and bears an astounding likeness to the TV series character. The figure features over 28 points of articulation so as to increase the variety of postures. In addition to this, numerous accessories are included in the package such as the “alternate smiling portrait”, posing hands, an extra right hand for holding a phaser and an extra left hand for holding a communicator.
Phaser and communicator are included, as well as a phaser rifle, and a holster for these accessories. Clothes are made of real fabric and feature rank insignia which increases the quality and the detail of the figure overall. A display base for posing figures is also included.
The figure itself is made in 1:12 scale making it approximately 6 inches high (15cm) and comes packed in a deluxe, fifth panel window box with translucent acetate slipcover designed for both collectors who wish to keep it boxed and in mint condition and for those who wish to remove it from the packaging.
The figure perfectly fits other figures from the Star Trek One:12 series, more precisely Spock and Sulu, who were announced earlier. The figure can currently be preordered at Mezco and is priced at $70. Mezco plans to release and ship the figures sometime between July and August this year, which is a couple of months after the previously mentioned figures. The figure is a great addition to the Mezco One:12 Collective Figure series which features not only Star Trek, but many other popular universes such as DC comics, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Judge Dredd.
