Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Foot Soldier Figure Review
This figure is solid in the sculpt, accessories and painting (though his chest did have minor paint flaws). However, the articulation is extremely limited, which sucks for a ninja.

Packaging
The packaging is the same as the other figures in the wave. There is the TMNT logo on the top of the card and along the side of the blister, you see the 4 turtle brothers. The blister does a good job at showing off the figure along with his accessories.
On the back of the card you get a nice bio for Foot Solider (which I love), and along the bottom of the card, the rest of the figures in the wave are showcased. Collect them all! The cards are also really bright colors and are sure to catch your eyes in the toy aisle.
Out of The Box
Once you can free this ninja out of the plastic prison (he is secured really good in the package) the figure feels strong. Hea measures about 5″ tall. There are some problems with this figure, but more on that later.
He comes packaged with 2 swords (1 short and 1 long) and a sheath to store the weapons in on his back. The sheath is removable as we saw with Leonardo. He also comes with 2 ninja stars. What’s a ninja without ninja stars?
Articulation
Now we come to the dreadful articulation. The Foot Soldier has a swivel at the head, elbows, wrists, and the waist. He has swivel/hinge joints at the shoulders and hips. Sadly that is all the articulation that the Foot Soldier has. In my opinion ninjas need more articulation for more dynamic posing. It is a real shame all the figures besides the turtles in this wave got the short end of the stick for articulation.
Paint
There really isn’t much paint on the figure. He has the red ring on his head with the foot logo, bad ass eyes, and the sliver strap going across his chest. I really like that Playmates put the foot logo on his head. The eyes look amazing, they are red with silver accents. The strap across his chest makes it feel like that is holding on the sheath on his back. The only thing I can say to watch out for is the chest paint. Mine kind of has a few slip ups on it. Nothing major though.
Sculpt
The sculpt is really basic. I do like the look that his pants are baggy. This figure also has a foot that is shaped for either walking or action poses. I am still on the fence if I like this or not. His hands are sculpted to hold his swords but his right hand seems way looser than his left.
This figure is going to be a pretty awesome army builder. You can buy a whole bunch and stage them helping their leader, Shredder, against the TMNT. Even though this is a really basic figure I think that many people will enjoy him even though his articulation really sucks.
