Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Donatello Figure Review
Like the other figures in this line, Donatello is solidly made, has good articulation (though his arms and legs can't go a full ninety degrees) and a unique sculpt. His weapons weren't as impressive to me, the paint can be sloppy, and the packaging is nothing great.

Let’s jump right in on this guy.
Packaging
The packaging is very eye-catching if you are shopping in the store. It sure did win me over. On the front of the card, you will see the other turtles on the right side of the blister and the New York cityscape in the background. On the back, you get a quick bio of the TMNT as a whole and you get a character bio for Donatello. Along the bottom of the card, you can see the rest of the series.
All in all, I would say the packaging is ok but nothing really special.
Out of The Box
Out of the box all of the TMNT feel very solid like a kids toy should. The figure stands about 4.75″ tall and comes with a ton of accessories like 2 saw blades, 2 staffs (one with blade on the end), and a staff-like weapon that’s been split into three with each part attached by a chain.
Personally, I don’t really care much for the weapons that Donatello came with. I think that Raphael and Leonardo got the good end of the stick when you look at their weapons.
Articulation
Articulation is pretty good on the TMNT in this line. But he has a ball joint head that is easily removed if you want. His shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees are all swivel/hinges. He also has swivel wrists where his wrapping meets the arm, which you can’t really see. His elbow and knee joints are nicely hidden by the sculpted pads.
My only complaint is that you can’t bend his arms and legs to a full 90 degrees. It is nothing really major but it would help for posing.
Paint
The paint looks very nice when you are a little bit of a distance from him. If you pick him up and take a closer look he can have some sloppy spots. The main areas that you are going to want to look out for is his bandana, pads, and wraps. Everything else is molded the color that they are.
Sculpt
Sculpts for these TMNT are very nice. All 4 of the turtles have a different head sculpt and turtle shell. This is awesome because nothing is worse than a reused body. All reviews of this character mention the cool factor that the sculpt has and they are all dead on.
This figure is a great figure to get. If you are only going to be buying some of this wave then I suggest that you get all of the turtles for sure.
