Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles April O’Neil Figure Review

Finally, we come to the final figure in this first wave. We are going to be taking a look at the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles April O’Neil Figure Review. She is a complete disappointment, but let me tell you why.

Other figures in this series are Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo, Shredder, Kraang, Foot Soldier, and Splinter.

Packaging

The packaging comes colored with bright greens and purples. On the front, you will see the New Your city scape in the background. On the back, we get a great bio for April and you can check out the other figures in this wave of TMNT.
I’m not really happy with the packaging but it sure does stand out when you are walking through the store.

Out of The Box

Out of the box you will notice that April is actually a lot younger than the other figures that have been made of her. This figure is sporting the famous yellow with a number 5 on the front. Her arms and legs are also very thin.
Like the 4 turtle brothers, April comes with a bunch of accessories. She has a staff (different from Donatello’s), a short sword, a kendo stick, a nightstick, 2 ninja stars, and 2 smoke bombs. She can only grab the weapons with her right hand, which really sucks.

Articulation

April’s articulation is pretty bad just like all of the other non-turtles in the wave. Her head, forearms, and waist all have swivel joints. Her shoulders and hips are both swivel/hinge joints. This is all of the articulation!
Since Splinter is training her she should have knee and elbow articulation at least so that you can put her in ninja poses.

Paint

The paint on this figure is pretty good with just a few slip ups here and there. The paint on her head looks great though I feel like he mouth needs to stand out a little bit more. With what she is wearing she has a very “teen” look. After all, Nick can’t really focus on the teenage element with a grown up running around.

Sculpt

I think this figure just looks weird. I wanted to pass her up but then I just couldn’t. Her arms and legs are just not for me. They look like sticks.
Also on her shorts are sculpted skinnier than her thighs. I think this figure need to be re-sculpted. This figure is just not for me but she is kind of essential to go along with your turtle gang.

Well there you have it, all of the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figure reviews. If you only have a little bit of money you should defiantly get all of the turtles, they are the star of this line.
