New NECA Pre-Orders.

Last month, NECA dropped some new pre-orders in the US which showed up first at Target and online retailers. But have since been made available internationally. Last night, Star Actor Figures put them up for pre-order. They put up the Ultimate Miner from My Bloody Valentine, Universal Monsters Creature From The Black Lagoon Ultimate Creature (Black & White), and The Last Stand Ultime MacReady from The Thing.

They first showed off these figures at SDCC this year and didn’t take long to go up for pre-order. Since I first saw The Last Stand version of MacReady I’ve wanted him. The figure looks fantastic and is packed with accessories and interchangeable hands and heads. I really love John Carpenter’s The Thing and it looks like NECA has pretty much covered all of MacReady’s looks in the film. This one is my favorite of the looks and I’ll definitely have him displayed holding the flare. I know we’ll be getting different iterations of the creature and hopefully, we’ll get Childs as well.

A lot of people were extremely excited to see the Miner from My Bloody Valentine get the Ultimate treatment and he does look fantastic. He comes with all the weapons that he uses in the film. I’d definitely consider getting this figure to go on one of my NECA horror shelves.

NECA has done black-and-white variants of their Universal Monsters line, with most of the icons getting that treatment (though I don’t think The Invisible Man has had one yet) This version is exactly the same as the color version just painted in black and white to recreate how he looks in the film. These figures are expected to be released early next year here in the UK.

Samuel is from the UK. He is an avid film fan and critic and a very passionate action figure collector. Basically he's a bit of a nerd. He collects mostly NECA, Mcfarlane's The Walking Dead line, Hasbro: Star Wars Black Series, Marvel Legends and some Play Arts Kai. He would love to collect even more high end figures someday. He also does digital art, collect films on Blu-Ray, and is a voice artist.
