New McFarlane Toys Spawn Universe Wave Coming Soon!

For some time now Todd McFarlane has been hinting at a Spawn Universe line of figures dropping sometime this year. If you didn’t know Todd has been reinvigorated to expand his Spawn merchandise after the massive success of the MK 11 Spawn and the Kickstarter Spawn that was released earlier this year. This year Todd launched a new series of Spawn comics and now he plans to start a whole brand new line of figures from the Spawn Universe featuring the many alternate versions of Spawn as well as all the supporting characters. I should mention that these figures are expected to be released sometime in August in the USA but it’s unclear when they’ll be available internationally. Hopefully, it won’t be too long after as these figures look awesome!

In the first wave of figures, we’ll be getting Gunslinger Spawn, Raven Spawn, Redeemer, Clown, and Violator. From the teaser image, these figures do look incredible and I am really impressed with how they all look. Especially Gunslinger Spawn, Clown, and Violator. The detailing on them looks incredible. From the one image that has been released of the figures. It seems that Clown and Violator will have less articulation than the other figures in the wave. Though those figures are much heftier in their size compared to the other figures in the wave.

It should also be mentioned that Clown and Violator are pricer figures too. A listing states that Clown is a deluxe figure and will cost around $40 whereas Violator will cost $50. From the word ‘deluxe’ I am guessing Clown will come with a lot of accessories and interchangeable pieces. Hopefully closer to the release date of these figures we’ll know more about the figures, their articulation, and what accessories they’ll come with. Here’s a breakdown of the listing:

Raven Spawn – 7 Inch Wave 1 – $24.99
Gunslinger Spawn – 7 Inch Wave 1 – $24.99
Redeemer – 7 Inch Wave 1 – $24.99
Clown – 7 Inch DLX – $39.99
Violator – 7 Inch Mega – $49.99

I personally cannot wait for these figures to be released and if more information about these release surface before the figures are released we’ll definitely keep you informed.
