Three Destiny Mega Bloks Construction Sets Revealed, More Planned
Toy Manufacturer Mega Bloks has once again teamed up with Activision, announcing a new line of Destiny Mega Bloks construction sets. This is not the first time the companies have collaborated, as they previously worked together on Call of Duty themed action figures. At this moment, three Destiny Mega Bloks construction sets are being worked on for a Fall 2016 release:
- A “Destiny Guardian Armory Figure Pack” which is listed at $7.99;
- A “Destiny Sparrow Pack” listed at $15.99, and
- A “Destiny Fallen Walker” kit with a price of $45.00.
More toys have been announced to be in the making, however, their release dates and further details regarding them are unknown for now. The release dates for additional kits are unknown as well but are planned for release sometime during Fall 2016, according to Mega Bloks, which means the sets will come out after a big Destiny expansion that comes out sometime during the spring.
The sets will include miniature Guardian figurines, Walker tanks, and Sparrow kits, but what is certain is that the materials will be sold in individual packs. This won’t be the first time Destiny has had action figures, toys, or construction sets produced by toy companies, with Titan Class figure created earlier as a collectible figure by the 3A Toy company. This also won’t be the first time Mega Bloks has participated in creating video game toys, having already worked not only on the previously mentioned Call of Duty, but also on Assassin’s Creed action figures and toys, and on the Halo series.
The news was presented to the public during the recent New York Toy fair, but for those who were unable to attend, the figurines themselves can also be seen on Youtube, posted in this video preview of the toy line by FamilyGamerTV:
