NECA Reveals Ultimate Jason Figure based on ‘Friday The 13th Part 6: Jason Lives’

NECA Part 6 Jason MaskAt SDCC earlier this year, NECA gave us a prototype look at the upcoming Friday The 13th Part 6 Ultimate Jason figure. Now they have given us the full reveal before the figure is released this December.

At this moment in time I only have NECA’s Retro Jason offerings. I have none of their plastic ones, and I missed out on their Part 3 and 4 figures, unfortunately. Though I am not going to miss out on this one that’s for sure. I have to be honest and say I much prefer Jason’s decomposed immortal zombie looks. He looks more horrific and more like a monster.

Seeing this figure in color has really won me over. He’s incredibly well detailed throughout. I love the tattered and worn clothes, and the fence post wound on his shirt is a great added touch. I really do dig what many fans call ‘his utility belt’, with his various instruments of death housed on it. Also, that face looks even better than the Retro version, which is very hard to top.

Jason will feature the same articulation as his Part 3 and 4 counterparts, and will come with more accessories than any NECA Jason Figure has come with before. He comes with the fence post that bought him back to life, his tombstone, removable mask, harpoon, knife and machete, which can be stored on his belt in their respected sheaths.

I should add this figure is being released to commemorate the Jason Lives 30th Anniversary. NECA has been killing it with their Ultimate figures of late (most of which will be released soon… Leatherface, T-800 and John Matrix). This is simply a must have if you’re a Jason fan and a fan of NECA’s Ultimate figures. I know for sure that I’ll be definitely getting this when he’s released this December and you should be too. Pre-orders are currently available here for $6 less than the $25.99 SRP.

Bryan first discovered an appreciation for action figures at an early age, setting up elaborate GI Joe ant hill attacks, complete with firework pyrotechnics. Due to the high injury rate for the Joes, replacements were a constant necessity.
