You probably didn’t know it, but this year is the 30th anniversary of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Toy companies generally like to celebrate movie anniversaries in a big way, and NECA has done just that with their new Freddy Krueger action figure. It is being dubbed as “Ultimate Freddy”, and after seeing it, you are going to know why it has the ‘Ultimate’ identifier.
Ultimate Freddy stands just shy of 7 inches (the NECA standard) and will come with a newly tooled, full articulated body. He is missing the stripes on his arms, but rest assured that is the exactly how he looked in the original A Nightmare on Elm Street movie. Later on his in movie career, Freddy’s sweater had stripes on the arms.
Let’s get into the good stuff though. The stuff that really makes this 30th anniversary Freddy Krueger action figure ‘Ultimate’. He comes absolutely loaded with new accessories including a total of three interchangeable heads, a tongue phone, a dead skin mask, fully articulated legs, and all new deluxe packaging.
NECA plans to release this figure this September with the SRP of $25. This will keep the figure in the same price line as NECA’s NES figures and the recently revealed Bad Blood Predator.
