NECA Toony Terrors Wave 6 Revealed!

Last night NECA revealed the full assortment of Toony Terrors 6″ Figures. This wave features four all-new characters for the line of stylized horror figures which has been a big hit with fans. I haven’t picked up any of the figures yet due to other lines being more of a priority to me, but I have loved the stylized look to these figures and I think I would definitely pick up most of the figures from this wave as I’m a big fan of the horror films that these characters are from.

Wave 6 includes the Mistress of Darkness herself; Elvira! Also in the wave are Captain Blake from The Fog, The Miner from My Bloody Valentine, and Herbert West with Dr. Hill’s severed head from The ReAnimator.

I have to say these figures do look excellent and I am very happy to hear that NECA would be releasing an Elvira figure in this line as I had been hoping that NECA could get the rights to her. If you recall a few months ago I wrote an article about dream horror licenses that I would love to see NECA pick up and Elvira was on that list. I wonder if we’ll see a Retro figure of her down the line or a 7″ Ultimate figure.

The Herbert West figure looks excellent and even though it’s a caricature you can tell it’s meant to be Jeffery Combs and that facial expression is perfect! The Captain Blake figure looks excellent. I should note that NECA will be re-releasing the Retro figures this year. The Miner figure looks excellent as well. These figures will be released in September, just in time for Halloween! Here’s the press release from NECA:

Bring the fun of Saturday morning cartoons to your horror collection with the adorable little creeps of Toony Terrors, NECA’s line of stylized horror icons!
