NECA Toony Terrors Series 9 Revealed.

During Comi-Con they previewed some figures from Toony Terrors Series 9 and after the event, they revealed more of them. I know that I don’t really cover Toony Terrors all that often on this site but I couldn’t resist this time as it contains one of my favorite horror icons Vincent Price that they didn’t show at the event.

In fact, they only showed off one figure from series 9 which was M3GAN, Vincent Price, Tarman from Return of The Living Dead, and The Fiend who’s the mascot of the Misfits. They are all up for pre-order now in the States as a set and as of yet they aren’t up for pre-order here in the UK.

I’m especially excited to see Vincent Price in the lineup. I can definitely see Vincent Price in this caricature of him, especially from the side and it very much looks like how Price did in the late 50s and early 60s. and hopefully like Elvira, this opens the door to Retro Cloth & Ultimate figures. There are plenty of possibilities when it comes to making figures of him; Theatre of Blood, Masque of The Red Death, The Fall of The House of Usher, Dr. Phibes films, The Pit & The Pendulum, and many more. To get a figure of Vincent Price in the same scale as Elvira has been a dream of mine for some time.

It’s very exciting to see Tarman in the Toony Terrors in the lineup and I wonder what else NECA will do with the Return of The Living Dead license. I know ROTLD fans would love to see some Ultimate figures down the line.

NECA has released a number of figures of the Fiend already so with him appearing in the Toony Terrors line would only be a matter of time. His look very much suits the Toony Terrors line and he looks fantastic. They also do feature modern horror characters from time to time and M3GAN being a Blumhouse film would have been likely that NECA had the rights to it. She does look pretty good but there’s something a bit off about the face.

Samuel is from the UK. He is an avid film fan and critic and a very passionate action figure collector. Basically he's a bit of a nerd. He collects mostly NECA, Mcfarlane's The Walking Dead line, Hasbro: Star Wars Black Series, Marvel Legends and some Play Arts Kai. He would love to collect even more high end figures someday. He also does digital art, collect films on Blu-Ray, and is a voice artist.
