The first series of NECA’s Terminator Genisys figures are just hitting stores now. NECA has given us an updated look at the upcoming 2017 Guardian T-800, otherwise known as “Pops” by Sarah Connor, which should be the next figure in the series to see a release.
In the film, Guardian, Sarah and Kyle jump through different time periods. This version of the Guardian T-800 is based on how he appears at the end of the film, hence the battle damage. NECA really have captured Arnie’s likeness in their recent figures and Pops is no different; you can tell who he is immediately. The detailing is excellent throughout the figure, especially the battle damage parts, which I’ll go into later.
I should note that this figure of the Guardian T-800 is fully articulated, much like the recently released Ultimate T-800. Accessory wise, he comes with an M4 shotgun, two interchangeable heads and an interchangeable battle damaged left arm. The battle damaged head looks incredible, and I love the pissed off expression he has. The interchangeable battle damaged left arm is a stroke of genius too. It really adds variety of how you’ll display this figure.
This figure is expected to be released in November of this year. SRP for this figure is about $23.49, but it’s possible to get a pre-order for just $20. I’m not sure if this will be the last figure that NECA will release from Terminator: Genisys as no other figure has been revealed yet. We’ll just have to wait and see. I hope that’s not the case though, as I would really love some more new NECA Terminator figures.
