A lot of NECA’s ultimate figures are being released soon; Leatherface, John Matrix and the T-800 from Terminator 2. Personally I’ve been really looking forward to the T-800 figure for a long time and now it looks like NECA has released a gallery showing the figure off in all its glory.
I was a big fan of NECA’s Terminator figures and they still stand the test of time. Though I am very happy that NECA have decided to upgrade their T-800 and T-1000 with added articulation, as well as with a Sarah Connor figure. I can see that this figure is a combination of the Pescadero Escape, Cyberdyne Showdown and Final Battle T-800. It looks like they are using the same upper body from the original figures with added leg articulation, which is brilliant. So now he’ll be up to standard with all current NECA figures.
Accessory wise he’ll come with three interchangeable heads: sunglasses, no sunglasses and battle damage. He also comes with his shotgun, minigun, ammo belt, ammo bag, grenade launcher, grenade belt and pistol, so he’s armed to the teeth.
This is the first rime we really get to see the packaging, and I really like it, especially the Future War art inside. I honestly would be tempted to keep him on display in packaging.
If you’re a big fan of NECA’s Terminator line or missed out on the other Terminators, I would highly recommend this figure. Even if you have previous Terminator figures by NECA, you should probably be getting this guy, as you can’t get much better than ‘ultimate’. I missed out on the Pescadero Escape version so I’ll definitely be getting this; it’s great to finally see a fully articulated T-800 figure. He’ll be released in the coming weeks. Pre-orders are still being accepted here if you still haven’t reserved yours yet.
