NECA Releasing Rocky IV Action Figures

NECA Series 2 Rocky IV action figures, Rocky Balboa

NECA’s Rocky IV Action Figures Will Make Up Series 2

A while ago, we wrote about NECA’s starting to re-launch their Rocky action figure line. And now, we’re happy to report that they have announced a Series 2 release. Like the first series, this one will feature new figures mixed with re-releases of NECA’s past popular Rocky IV action figures. The four figure being released with Series 2 are for Apollo Creed, Rocky, and two featuring Ivan Drago.

Like the previous figures, these will also be 7 inches tall and feature full articulation. The brand-new Apollo Creed figure will depict him wearing his iconic US themed outfit from the introduction to the exhibition match with Drago (queue in Living in America). Two Drago figures are being released, the first one with him wearing yellow trunks and yellow boots. The second Drago features red trunks, red boots, and his angry face, after being bashed and bruised by Rocky.

And finally, Rocky’s figure comes with two head sculpts and an American flag that can be wrapped around him. Rocky is wearing shorts similar to Apollo. The face design for all the characters features an authentic likeness to the actors. All four figures fit in perfectly with the Series 1 figures,  and will allow you to create your own unique fights. Who’s up for a match between Drago and Clubber Lang? All of the figures come in collector friendly boxes designed to celebrate Rocky’s 40th anniversary.

Pre-Ordering the Rocky IV Action Figures

The figures are currently up for pre-order on the Big Bad Toy Store in a four figure bundle that costs $74.99. The solo figures are not yet listed, but should start appearing soon. Based on previous experience, their price will probably be somewhere around $20. Series 1 is currently shipping to stores, while Series 2 is expected to arrive sometime in October this year.
