This week NECA are revealing their SDCC exclusives and so far they have announced a TMNT cartoon set called Premonition of Pre-Mutation Set, Gremlins 2: The New Batch Wedding Dress Greta, and Dungeons and Dragons: The Lost Wave.
I am not that familiar with the TMNT Cartoon figures but if you are a big fan of the line this set is a must-have for your collection. With some of the iconic characters before their transformations. You get a boatload of accessories with the set which is excellent for diorama setups.
Then they revealed Gremlins 2: The New Batch Greta in her wedding dress from the finale of the film which looks absolutely excellent. It’s been a while since NECA did any Gremlins-themed exclusives. I am unabashedly a big fan of Gremlins 2 and need to get some of the iconic Gremlins from the film such as Brain, Spider Gremlin and Bat Gremlin. Greta was one of the most memorable Gremlins in the film so it makes sense to make her in her wedding dress an SDCC exclusive. She has synthetic hair like the regular release but is now dressed in a soft goods wedding gown and veil. She also comes with a pair of interchangeable hands and a bouquet of flowers.
Then finally (for now) they revealed a Dungeons and Dragons exclusive. The exclusive is a four-pack of figures that were never released in the original line from the 80s in the style of the original line of figures. I don’t have any nostalgia for this but I cannot deny that they look fantastic. They come in their classic original bubble card packaging and three of the four figures have the Battle-Matic action feature.
All of these figures will be SDCC exclusives which will be exclusives at the event and available online. The pricing has not been revealed yet but they will in time for their release during the SDCC event.
