NECA Retro Elvira Revealed

If you are a fan of NECA you know that they are currently running a 31 Nights of Fright event which runs from October 1st to the 31st and each night there will be a horror reveal or tease so expect a lot of NECA articles here this month. And on the 1st night, they revealed a horror icon and a real surprise for me, they have really started this event with a bang with the reveal of a Retro Elvira figure!
A few months ago NECA revealed a Toony Terrors version of Elvira and it was likely that there would be more Elvira products as she first appeared on TV screens for forty years this year and this is a big year for Cassandra Peterson as she has released her memoirs and has hosted the Elvira’s 40th Anniversary, Very Scary, Very Special, Special on the horror streaming service Shudder.
I have been hoping that we would see an Elvira action figure and I am very happy that we have one coming next year. I know that it’s not an Ultimate figure but I am ecstatic about this one and I don’t doubt we’ll see an Ultimate Elvira figure down the line as I know this one will sell like hotcakes. Already this figure is up for pre-order in the States and I hope an action figure store site here in the UK puts her up for pre-order soon as I would really love to add this one to my collection, as I am a big fan of Elvira myself.
The likeness to Elvira is fantastic and I love that we get two interchangeable heads and they both capture her personality perfectly. Also, the figure looks very voluptuous as she does in real life. The accessories look fantastic I especially love the skull candle and goblet, with the goblet being my favorite as I love the green smoke effect coming off the goblet which really makes it pop.
