NECA Predator Series 14 AVP Predators Are Finally Announced

NECA Predator Series 14 AVP Predators 003It should come to no surprise that the Predator line is one of NECA’s most popular lines and for good reason – they are amazing figures. I know that this line will go on for a very ling time. Many fans including myself were very excited to see their AVP Predator figures.

At Toy Fair earlier this year they revealed the prototypes, which got us all excited. Now they have given us a closer look at these hotly anticipated figures. I know that many fans (myself included) don’t like the Alien vs. Predator films, along with the bulky look to the Predators.

Now, NECA have gotten round to producing the Predators from AVP for their Predator Series 14. They have made a change to the design so that they are slimmer and are in scale with the other NECA Predators. I really like change. The level of detail is incredible on these figures, much like their other Predators.

They look far more armored than the other Predators that NECA have released to date. As you can see, Celtic and Scar wear similar armor than what’s seen in the film and Chopper does not have armour on his thighs. They look fantastic. NECA also state that they will be more articulated than the Predators that they have released in the past (they will now have 30 points). These also have an ab-crunch.

Chopper, Celtic and Scar will come with all their own different accessories. Though they will share some accessories; wrist blades, shoulder cannons and a knife. We’ll know closer to their release date what else they’ll come with. I do know that they have flip covers for their wrist computers, a feature fans have been longing for the Predator line; It’s awesome. They each stand about 8.5-inches tall and come packaged in blister card packaging.

The film disappointed me, though I know these figures will really impress. If you’re a fan of NECA’s Predator line and the look of these Predators, this whole wave is highly recommended. They will be released in the September of this year and are currently available for pre-order here.

Bryan first discovered an appreciation for action figures at an early age, setting up elaborate GI Joe ant hill attacks, complete with firework pyrotechnics. Due to the high injury rate for the Joes, replacements were a constant necessity.
