NECA Glow In The Dark Phantom of The Opera NYCC Exclusive.

Just recently NECA revealed that the Retro GITD Phantom of The Opera that they showed off at Comi-Con back in July will be a NYCC exclusive. As you can see he’s in the same style as Frankenstein’s Monster, The Mummy, & The Creature of the Black Lagoon. He also comes on a similar retro card back. As these were before my time I don’t have any nostalgia for them, but I think it’s an enjoyable inventive idea and line.

I like the simplified paint scheme on these to match the original toy line and I know that the glow-in-the-dark feature works very well and The Phantom of The Opera looks fantastic in the picture gallery. The old-fashioned cape looks great as well. The only figure we are waiting to hear news on is the Dracula figure which they revealed at the same time.

I should note that The Phantom is an NYCC exclusive, but will be available during the event and also for non-attendees as well, with a pre-sale page going up next week. Which is standard practice for NECA and their various exclusives. The figure will cost $30 which is very reasonable for a convention exclusive.
